Jewish Teachers Institute was founded in 2017 by Rabbi Alexander Seinfeld PhD, a certified teacher with over 20 years’ classroom experience across the Kodesh and General Studies curricula. Since 2008 he has brought professional development workshops and mentoring to dozens of schools in Baltimore and nationally. The goals of JTI are to improve learning outcomes and increase teacher retention; our pedagogy is based on research supporting the superiority of visual, interactive and inductive instruction (for example, this, this, and this).
