The traditional way we teach text works very well for about 25 percent of learners, fairly well for about 50 percent, and 25 percent often don’t achieve their potential. Many of them are highly intelligent, but their language processing and acquisition works differently and hence they struggle.

These seven techniques — represented by the mnemonic VII — can be used in any classroom or tutorial setting to help the struggling talmidim to shine and truly enjoy learning Tanach, Mishnah, Gemara or any text.
